Purpose of assessment task
Understanding the domains of clinical governance can help you to deliver safe, high quality care to your patients. This task will enable you to demonstrate your understanding of the role of the nurse regarding each of the domains of clinical governance.

You have recently commenced work as a graduate nurse in an orthopaedic unit. You have been asked to care for Norah, a 74-year-old woman who was admitted following a fall at home resulting in a fractured Neck of Femur (NOF). Norah had surgical repair of her hip three days ago. You have cared for patients in the postoperative period in the past, however you have not previously provided care for patients following joint surgery.
Task: Drawing on the above scenario, respond to the following five (5) prompts:
Q1. Identify two significant risks for Norah, and explain why these are significant in terms or prevalence and/or possible outcomes
Q2. Describe two sources of pre-appraised or filtered evidence you could use to guide Norah's care
Q3. Describe three benefits associated with partnering with Norah in her care
Q4. Describe how you would decide whether caring for Norah is in your scope of practice as a beginning registered nurse
