2. WORKPLACE EVIDENCE

This part of the RPL Kit requires you to provide evidence from the workplace. The evidence could be from your current workplace or one that you have recently been involved in however it must be in the aged care sector whilst performing the role of aged care support worker.

You may need to obtain permission from your workplace supervisor to be able to submit the documents requested. Please also ensure that you maintain confidentiality and remove or cross out any identifying names etc. on the documentation.

This documentation is to demonstrate that you contribute research information about compliance and ethical practice responsibilities and then develop and monitor policies and procedures to meet those responsibilities.

This unit of competency requires you to provide evidence of completing the following:

1. Work with information about the human body

2. Recognise and promote ways to support healthy functioning of the body

1. Supporting three (3) individual client's health and wellbeing in an aged care setting

Recall specific instances when you have provided support to three (3) individuals in an aged care setting.

Submit evidence that demonstrates your knowledge and skills in using and interpreting health terminologies and information relating to the human body.

Any of the following documents can be submitted as long as it contains information regarding use of terminology in supporting healthy body systems.

Case notes

Referral letter

Incident reports relating to a client's illness or injury

Any relevant documentation containing information about your job role and responsibilities

2. Improving quality of work practices to enhance healthy body systems

Provide evidence of how you have enhanced the quality of your work in relation to maintaining healthy body functions for three (3) individual clients.

Any of the following documents can be submitted as long as it contains information regarding how you enhanced the quality of your work relating to healthy body systems.

Evidence of any training undertaken

Workshops attended

Meetings attended

Membership to online newletters/journals, etc.

3. Sharing information regarding healthy body systems

Give an example for three (3) individual clients of how you have shared information in the workplace (i.e., with colleagues, specialists, clients, carers, family members, etc.) regarding healthy body functions.
