INDICATIONS FOR PROCEDURE: This is a 70-year-old female with a history of severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, who presented with an obstructing sigmoid colon tumor. This was found to be at 20 cm and was proven on biopsy to be adenocarcinoma. The patient also has a palpable mass in the left lateral segment of the liver on exam. The patient was able to tolerate the bowel prep slowly over 2 to 3 days and got improved control of her COPD with stress dose steroids in preparation for surgery.
