He was driven to the emergency department for further treatment. He has an occasional cough with pink frothy sputum. Upon assessment, he appears to be experiencing mild distress with slightly labored breathing and crackles in the base of the lungs. Skin is cool and dry. Capillary refill is less than 3 seconds.
