Question

A patient reports a three-day history of headache and blurred vision. The patient has had severe acute hypertension with a BP reading of 220/150 mm Hg resulting from kidney disease. An ophthalmoscopic exam reveals bilateral disk swelling and scattered cotton wool spots, and the physician recommends treatment of antihypertensives and hemodialysis to treat the underlying disease and improve vision.
