Jean is a 29 year woman who reports an 8 year history of headache. She experiences unilateral, pulsing headache lasting 6-10 hours, 2-3 times a month. Prior to the headache, Jean feels a gradual onset of paresthesia affecting the ipsilatral face and arm, lasting about 20 minutes. She takes ibuprofen with partial relief. Her neurological exam is within normal limits. She asks wheter she should have an MRI.
