Human-capital blind spots exist when a company's talent policies and practices reinforce outdated hiring and promotion practices. "It took me a while to understand that I was more oldworld than I had thought. I knew the desk phone was dead, but it turns out the desk itself is dead! We get that now, and frankly it works for all of us."
