Review the attached HIM Department Strategic Plan:

1. You are the Director of HIM. Create a plan for communicating this strategic plan to your staff.  Include a time line for actions that the department will need to take to implement this strategic plan.
2. Indicate any HIM committees or task-forces that might be needed to implement the plan.  Are there any enterprise-wide committees where HIM presence would be important  in the implementation of the strategic plan?
3. Lastly, discuss the importance of enterprise-wide committee involvement on an ongoing basis. 
   • Why should you, the HIM Director, be involved in some of these committees? 
   • How could it be valuable for you to always include your staff in committees?
   • How does this all help with strategic initiatives and meeting HIM goals?
