Question 1:  Where does the highest frequency of "oridianry" thunderstorms occur within the United States and why?

Question 2:  State the main lifting mechanism, the amount of wind shear in the near-storm environment, the orientation and strength of the updraft and downdraft, and the typical lifetime for an ordinary (air mass) thunderstorm (Fig 10.2) and then do the same for a severe thunderstorm (Fig 10.5).
