Question

Defibrillators are utilized in emergency situations to treat life-threatening arrhythmias by delivering high-energy shocks to reset the heart's rhythm, while pacemakers are implanted for long-term management of slower or irregular heart rhythms by delivering low-energy impulses. Despite these differences, both devices involve the delivery of electrical stimulation to the heart and can be implanted internally for continuous cardiac management.
