In most organizations the hierarchical structure demands that decisions be made according to rank and responsibility. This isn't a bad thing, necessarily, but it can be detrimental if those that are involved are not consulted. The reason being is that the higher up the ladder you are the further removed you are from the actual work so you can easily miss things. But you also can't have all decisions made by frontline workers--or can you? What are your thoughts?
