Events have taken on a new perspective with the help of the global pandemic. As we know meetings will never go away, people always have a reason to meet, it is just sometimes that can be challenging. We know about virtual events and in this pandemic, we really learned about virtual events. As this is our present status for most meetings, work is to a virtual event for Seneca College.
TASK:
Come up with an idea as seasoned students to address first semester Seneca students. have to come up with the concept on what you think is important for students to know of Seneca College or something they can benefit from (i.e. studying methods, resources, etc.). This could be a real event for the upcoming semester.
NEED:
- Welcome Page which reflects the subject matter
- Invitation needs to be created to entice people to register and attend.
- a Main Room (General Session)
- 3 - 4 breakout rooms.
- Each session needs an agenda (3-5 points of address) with timelines and remember to incorporate breakout room time.
- 1 Special feature whether it be a presentation video, virtual tour or Guest Speaker session.
Get creative, decorate your rooms (main and breakout) and make your invitation- inviting!!
Since we are not doing a real virtual event (right now), this will be set up as a powerpoint presentation which will consist of at least 8-10 slides (Welcome Page, Invitation, Main Room, 3-4 breakouts, Special Feature page), to a maximum 20 slides.
