Helen is diaphoretic and jaundiced. She is guarding her abdomen and reports that she has had pain like this before sometimes after takeaway meals. The pain is worse this time and is radiating to her back, and she has nausea and vomiting. She states her pain is 8/10. While questioning Helen, she says she has had trouble losing weight since going through menopause a few years ago and has no time for exercise because her job is so demanding. She eats a lot of takeaway meals, snacks or a quick steak and chips that her husband can cook, and she loves her lollies and chocolate as an afternoon treat. Helen states that since her children left home, she hasn't felt like cooking for just herself and her husband, and she admits she "might have one too many wines in the evening". Helen says her father and brother both had colon cancer and her mother had gallstones some years ago.
