Heat transfer from the compressor to its surroundings occurs at a rate of 1.0 Btu per lb of air flowing. Potential energy effects are negligible, and the ideal gas model can be assumed for the air. Determine
(a) the velocity of the air at the inlet, in ft/s
(b) the mass flow rate, in lb/s and
(c) the compressor power, in Btu/s and hp
