Question

Ken Washington, a 61-year-old man, comes to the office today complaining of feeling "odd." His symptoms include weight loss for no apparent reason, "jitteriness" with a feeling like his heart is racing, and overall irritability. You notice that the patient's eyes appear more prominent than normal. Ken is particularly concerned about his new symptoms, as he was only recently discharged from the hospital after suffering a CVA. He has a residual foot drop, for which he wears a brace and is receiving physical therapy.
