The Situation: You have just been hired to manage a medical practice that recently grew from one physician practicing independently to six physicians, a medical assistant, a nurse, and a medical billing and reimbursement specialist. You notice that the medical assistant and the medical billing and reimbursement specialist are not keeping up with their workload. You are considering hiring another medical assistant or another medical billing and reimbursement specialist. You can only hire one or the other. How would you go about deciding which position to hire?
