This is Part One of a three-part course project.

Select one of the following health problems to use for all three parts of the course project.

Adult obesity,

For Part One, use the Folic Acid Macro Plan Example in Appendix 2A (pages 35-38 of the textbook) to write a Macro Plan for the health problem you have chosen. Your Macro Plan should:

Analyze the problem: Write a health problem statement. Use Worksheet 2-1 on page 36 as a template. (Sites such as the CDC, https://www.cdc.gov , the American Cancer Society, https://www.cancer.org, and others provide data you can use for "Who is Affected, and to What Degree.")

Identify the behavior you would like to change.

Describe a potential intervention you might use to bring about this change.

Specify a core strategy for communication:

Identify the target audiences (primary, secondary, and tertiary).

For each target audience, describe the form of interaction (education, empowerment, marketing, or political) that might be effective.

Explain your reasoning. Identify potential partners who may be capable of assisting you in accomplishing the task. Explain why they may be able (and willing) to help.
