Disparities exist between the sexes in various aspects related to the health and happiness of adolescents, including but not limited to the following: Girls are more likely than boys to suffer from several mental health illnesses, such as depression and eating disorders. This is especially true when compared to the prevalence of these diseases in older adults. In addition, throughout the adolescent years, the likelihood of a female becoming pregnant or a victim of sexual assault is much greater for teenage girls than adolescent boys. When compared to girls, young men are far more likely to engage in potentially harmful activities, such as drinking alcohol and smoking cigarettes (Yuen et al., 2019). These disparities might be somewhat explained by the fact that boys and girls today face different social pressures and expectations. For instance, it is common for women to be pushed to have a faultless and thin look, while men are often encouraged to be strong and independent (Yuen et al., 2019). These stereotypes have the potential to lead to differences in both individuals' levels of self-esteem as well as their mental health.

Nursing can reestablish its ability for treatment and social and relational activity if nursing education is translated into the idea of maturity. Additionally, nursing should support primary care that nurses govern and focus on strengthening local and state policies. National levels to enhance access, equality, and security in the healthcare system.
