You are the head of quality control at Super Table Saws. It is your job to make decisions pertaining to quality control. One of the new models of table saws has a quick disengage blade if any moisture is detected. This technology removes the blade in case someone accidentally has a finger in the way of the blade.1 The problem you are faced with is that this technology is difficult to install correctly. The issue is that you must make sure each part of the process is done in perfect order and done perfectly. If this is not done correctly, then the technology does not work. This process does not use any special skills other than employees having hands and fingers that work. Therefore, your boss has decided to hire unspecialized workers (i.e. cheap labor) to do the work and has tasked you to make sure it is done correctly (he pays you the big bucks). The only tool you have at your disposal is to hire people to do oversight of the team which is installing this technology.
