Having a different outlook on situations

PASSAGE A: Having a different outlook on situations and how to handle situations can lead to a breakdown. Some people believe that the way they should be treated is highly unrealistic. The golden rule states that you should treat others the way you would like to be treated, but that can be hard with people having such high expectations. When you have a situation for instance, in a restaurant, a customer can say they are unhappy with their drink or even a side dish. So trying to satisfy the customer or avoid a breakdown, you may just replace that item with something else they may like. However, some people who feel as though they just won't do it, want everything taken off of their bill and don't want to have to pay it. Knowing that is not logical as the worker being as they finished everything else they ordered. You try to stay calm, positive, and kind and keep the situation controlled. For me, just replacing the side seems perfectly acceptable but to someone who feels as though they are entitled will cause a breakdown because they want what they want and that is that. So, they become rude and obnoxious but as the worker, you try to keep calm and talk with reason because that is how you would want to be approached, and in this situation, something like that can make it worse.

QUESTION 1: DO YOU AGREE WITH PASSAGE A? WHY OR WHY NOT? EXPLAIN IT?

PASSAGE B: As much as I don't want to admit it because AI is something that worries me for the future in some aspects, I think the way that technology is evolving is smart. However, I do believe in some instances it can be a pain, like when you are trying to handle something over the phone and you can only speak to an answering service or recording or when they want you to chat with someone online and you get no-where. A lot of these different technological enhancements they are bringing to the stores are helpful and sometimes painful. I was unaware of the amazon store and their practice but I think that the way they have all of the cameras and the checking in and out process is genius. I was worried about the fact that they were basing it on the honor system but then I learned of the cameras watching their every move. This is certainly a smart move for on the go people and families. No one wants to spend hours in the grocery store. On the other hand, there are many stores now that are trying to bring the self check out feature to their facilities and there is much work that needs to be done. The self-checkouts tend to be very sensitive and slow, sometimes even slower than an actual cashier. A self-check-out system for in and out purposes can only be as effective as the customer. I say this because a lot of the time the hold-up is the customer at the counter taking forever to pay or to get their payment ready. There are times where they question prices that come up or something doesn't scan right, and these things all still happen and occur with self-checkouts. So it can tend to be a little more frustrating because you don't have an actual person there to ask you have to wait for that one person that is monitoring the whole section to be done with someone else who has a problem. So, yes I think that technology has come a long way and it still needs a lot of work but I suppose I do believe that it has made customer service more difficult until they fix the kinks.

QUESTION 2: DO YOU AGREE WITH THE PASSAGE B? WHY OR WHY NOT? EXPLAIN IT?
