Question: I agree with your comments on the characteristics a Servant leader should have as a way to positively lead. However, as the Servant Leadership: Issue of Power videos have taught us, these characteristics only exist for those who want to lead for the right reasons. In my career, I have seen managers use traits such as the ability to influence, and serving their own agenda for personal or professional gain without regard to team dynamics or moral ramifications. For this reason, I am thankful that the mentor I has was able to demonstrate positive characteristics of the servant leadership model.
