Most people use drugs to temporarily escape their reality - to 'improve' the way they think, feel, or function for a short period of time. But many drugs are addictive, whether physiologically or psychologically, and users end of 'needing' them to eventually feel normal or even function. This, of course, poses considerable risks. Regular drug use/abuse can wreak havoc on the liver, suppress immune function, and affect one's ability to work and function effectively. There are significant financial costs too. Knowing all this, have you considered the role drugs play in your life? Include prescription drugs, over-the-counter drugs, alcohol, and tobacco in your consideration. Do you like your reality enough, day in and day out, to experience it unaltered (excluding the use of drugs necessary for normal function/survival)? And if you don't, do you now have the tools to change your reality without drugs?
