Her application was approved. They have one daughter, aged two. Three years after she became an LPR, Yessenia had to leave the country to return to Panama to take care of her sick mother. The visit was supposed to last for three months, but her mother's health was worse than anticipated and eventually she passed away. Yessenia had to take care of her mother's property and remained in Panama for seven months, after which she returned to the United States.
