OPTION 1: A popular topic of conversation and debate lately is that of privilege. It seems that some people understand it and some people deny its existence. Take a stance as to whether or not privilege exists, in what capacity, and if it is more beneficial or detrimental to society. Support your discussion with relevant research.
OPTION 2: In recent years, "cancel culture" has become a common term to denote the cancelling of a person, organization, celebrity, etc. who has somehow violated the norms of society. Is "cancel culture" OK? Or should "cancel culture" be cancelled?
OPTION 3: During the pandemic, much of education has gone online. However, with students having easy access to the Internet and no instructor physically present during tests/exams, many educators fear these factors have contributed to a rise in cheating among students. Has the pandemic contributed to an increase of cheating among students?
OPTION 4: Suggest another relevant topic of interest to you that includes an analysis, comparison or argument to be made. You must have your topic approved by your instructor. Note: You may not use the same essay you used for the in- class assessment, nor may you use any of the topics covered in APL for debate or otherwise.
