Some of the problems associated with first narration include the perceptions he has towards life and reality he is going through, the harsh life style of a being a fisherman. The first person or character is the only boy’s father, a fisherman who has in his life has never really liked the fishing and who clearly would have preferred to get an education but according to an avoidable circumstance he is stuck. Many times the first person points out that he values education, he thinks of education instead, and not to live the harsh and dangerous lifestyle that slowly ends up killing him emotionally.
