In 2004, the college surveyed non-returning students to find out why they did not complete their degree (Grant MacEwan College Early Leaver Survey Report, 2004). Sixty-three students gave a personal (rather than an academic) reason for leaving. The accompanying frequency distribution summarizes the primary reason for leaving for these 63 students.
