During the 1750s, the Industrial Revolution was beginning to revolutionize and increase in production. The Industrial Revolution developed in Great Britain and distributed throughout Europe. During this time, factory owners needed more workers for the factories because they had more machines than they did workers. Families started to move from the countryside and migrated into the inner cities for work in the factories. The factory system was a key development during the early Industrial Revolution, as it allowed increased production using machines. However, this new system also created challenges for unskilled workers, women, and children, who often worked in unsafe conditions for low pay. Despite these challenges, the factory system was a key development that helped to shape the Industrial Revolution.
