Question

You do a really good job of explaining the PQRST model and how it is used to assess a patients pain. This model helps us learn subjective data about our clients pain (Jarvis and Eckhardt, 2024). As we learning in our textbook, the clients subjective experience of pain is the most useful information we can get about their pain. Since pain is a subjective experience and everyone feels it differently, it is best to ask subjective questions before identifying objective findings about the clients pain. Objective information can still be useful is assessing pain, however, not everyone has objective cues of pain so it cannot be the only assessment of pain.
