Using Goals in the Coaching/Counseling Process

We create goals because there is something that we want to accomplish; without goals we have nothing to strive for, nothing to direct our energies towards, and nothing to achieve. Given that coaching, counseling, and mentorships deals with relationships rather than productivity or profitability, discuss how the goals of a coach, counselor, or mentor would differ from those goals in an organization's strategic plan. Additionally, discuss how the barriers may be different for a coach, counselor, or mentor to achieve their goals as opposed to an organization.
