1) The team may decide to close the plant or to keep it open, but the goal of the decision-making process is twofold: (1) to keep the company viable and (2) to reflect the team's individual and group values.

If the team decides to close the plant, it must draw up a list of the factors on which it based its decision and be prepared to justify it.

If the team decides to keep the plant open, it must draw up a plan explaining how the company can still remain competitive.

Each member of each team should be prepared to explain the choices that he or she made in helping the group reach its decision.
