Question

The molecule fructose 2,6-bisphosphate is not present in either the glycolysis or gluconeogenesis pathways, but it plays an important role in their regulation. Draw the structure of fructose 2,6 bisphosphate. Which hormones are involved in the regulation of glycolysis and gluconeogenesis and which pathways do they turn on? How does fructose 2,6-bisphosphate regulate glycolysis and gluconeogenesis? How are the levels of fructose 2,6-bisphosphate regulated?
