Bugs has hypothesized that "super toon" decreases cancer cells' ability to use lactose as a source of energy by inhibiting the enzyme lactase. After treating the cancer cells with "super toon," Bugs collects the cells and breaks them open in a blender. He collects the resulting solution, which is called a cell lysate. Bugs tests the lactase activity of the cell lysate by mixing it with varying concentrations of lactose and measuring the amount of glucose present by using glucose indicator and a spectrophotometer. The graph below shows the results of his experiment.
