For example, Logitech manufactures in Taiwan and China, bases its R&D in California and Switzerland, designs products in Ireland, and coordinates marketing and operations from California. Using Porter's diamond help explain why high-tech firms do not operate all their activities from a single central location. Your answer outlines why a firm such as Logitech favors its investment decisions across the globe and if Porter's diamond can be used to predict where high-tech firms will invest in their operations.
