Details: Conduct research on factors contributing to the 2007-2009 global financial crisis and the role of the IMF in promoting global recovery. Write a 2,000-word report addressing the following: Part 1 The globally integrated economy is driven by influential countries, international organizations, and national institutions. Examples of influential countries are the U.S., China, and Germany. Examples of organizations are the OECD, the IMF, and the WTO. Examples of national institutions are the U.S. Federal Reserve and The People's Bank of China. For each of the three categories: Identify the key members. Diagram key relationships among the identified members in the areas of trade and financial activity. Create a series of tables and/or diagrams illustrating the ways in which key members contributed to and/or were impacted by the global financial crisis. Part 2 Using the relationships and profiles created in Part 1, analyze the role of the IMF in the 2007-09 crisis. Specifically address the following: The role and purpose of the IMF. The IMF's response to the 2007-2009 crisis. The expected outcome of IMF interventions in local and regional crises. Evaluation metrics for measuring the effectiveness of the IMF in resolving exchange rate and financial crises. Economic and geopolitical factors (local, national, and/or international), which affect the activities of the IMF, particularly in their response to the 2007-2009 crises and recovery. Incorporate your tables and diagrams into your analysis to illustrate your point of view. Conclude by summarizing how the IMF can continue to promote recovery from the 2007-2009 crisis and further global economic stability.
