1. The topic of global crime spans a large range of industries and costs billions in losses to all of these industries every year. Global crime is linked to the subject of international trade in the sense that global crime inhibits the efficiency of trade, and when money is exchanged through these illicit channels, impacts are felt industry wide, no matter the industry. Global crime can best be described as crimes that have the potential to cause harm / disruption across international borders. These crimes are typically large in scale and involve huge operations of people across the world smuggling products / people.
