Global Aptitude of Identical Twins in Affluent and Non-Affluent Families
You will be testing the global aptitude level of identical twins separated in infancy where one twin was nurtured in an affluent family and the other twin was nurtured in a non-affluent family. You will be drawing two independent samples: one sample from the population of twins who were raised in an affluent environment where resources were readily available to nurture the child throughout childhood and adolescence; and one sample from the population of twins who were raised in a non-affluent environment where resources were not readily available to nurture the child throughout childhood and adolescence.
Affluence is defined by income. Those families whose annual income is equal to or greater than 100k per year are considered affluent. Those families whose annual income is equal to or less than 35k per year are considered non-affluent. Your team may adjust the annual income numbers if you choose as long as you identify your criteria in your paper.
You will evaluate the global aptitude of each twin in each sample via an independent samples "t" test and compare the mean of each sample for significance: two samples; two means - one for each sample. Note: Use the "Fulbright Global Aptitude Battery for Identical Twins" to rate each twins global aptitude. Fulbright is a fictitious Battery used solely for academic purposes and writing your paper. That means Fulbright is not a real Aptitude Battery; therefore, it does not exist. Its sole purpose is to give your paper the allusion of being a legitimate study.
