While the absurdity of Aristophanes's Lysistrata is quite obvious throughout the play, it characterizes several important social and political issues that were relevant to the Greeks of 411 B.C.

Lysistrata contains elements of all three traditional forms of comedy: farce, satire, and romance. In your initial discussion post, identify and explain how Aristophanes incorporated each of the three forms, relating specific scenes from the play.
