A window is etched through a 500 nm thick oxide on a [100] silicon wafer. The wafer is re-oxidized at 1100 °C using wet oxidation to grow a 750 nm thick film inside the window. Draw a cross-section of the wafer following the second oxidation. Give numerical values for the step heights at the interface and at the surface of the oxide.

Electrical Engineering Questions & Answers

Find how high does the ball rise in units of meters

As the ball rises, it gradually loses kinetic energy as its potential energy increases. At the top of its flight, when its vertical speed goes to zero, all of the kinetic energy has been converted into potential energy.

Find percentage of electriciy generated by fuel cell system

Fuel cell systems that also utilize the heat produced can achieve efficiencies approaching 80 percent , more than double of the gas-turbine based electruiical generation . Assume that 25 million houuseholds produce an average of 5 kw.

Give the algebraic formula for j and k inputs of flip-flops

Design a circuit using JK flip-flops that takes in a binary stream B0B1B2B3 and outputs 1 at a time t if the stream recieved thusfar (i.e. BoB1..Bt-1Bt), when read as an unsigned binary number, is divisible by 3.

How to generate odd parity over the individual words

Design a system using either a flow diagram or pseudo code that will accept a block of data words encoded as specified in Part 1; then check the parity for each data word and for the block. The system should output each of the 8-bit data words.

  Find circuits approximate thevenin resistance

The open circuit voltage of the battery is 1.493 V. When a 100 resistor is connected across it, its measured voltage is 1.356V. Find its approximate Thevenin resistance and draw a model for the battery.
