Topic: Religion and anti-Asian hate crimes

Find one primary source and one scholarly secondary source related to that topic. A primary source is a source that is authored (written/recorded) by someone directly involved and/or witnessing the event. The secondary source should be from a scholarly source analyzing the topic. This generally means something from a reputable academic. Journalism may be an option, but beware--much journalism is not of high analytic quality, and it is up to you to determine.

1. Your script should give a brief summary of the topic and note how the topic relates to class themes.

2. Your script should be approximately 5 minutes long. You will not be able to cover the entire topic in your lecture. You should choose important points from the readings to cover briefly. The point of this is to give the class a brief overview of a topic, and a few starting points of research for someone interested in the topic.
