Farmer Fenstermacher raises hens and is interested in getting the maximum number of eggs from them. He is considering two breeds of hen. Each Araucana hen lays 220 eggs a year and needs 60 pounds of feed a year, 20 gallons of water a year, and 1.5 square feet of barn space. Each Buff Orpington hen lays 260 eggs a year and needs 50 pounds of feed a year, 25 gallons of water a year, and 3 square feet of barn space. The farmer can afford at most 4200 pounds of feed per year and 1500 gallons of water per year. There is only 144 square feet of barn space available.
