Consider the system shown in the figure where a geothermal supply of hot water flowing through twoflash evaporators is used to operate a steam turbine. The high-pressure inlet water is at 1.5 MPa and180oC, while the exit of the turbine is at 10 kPa and 90% quality. The pressure for both evaporatorsneeds to be determined based on the performance of the system. For doing that, you are required tograph the turbine work per unit mass of the hot water supply, as a function of the evaporators pressure(PI and PII) and from there, to find the optimal operation point. Remember that after throttling the waterinto each flash evaporator chamber, saturated liquid and saturated vapor is created at the correspondingpressure.
