My top watch genres are cooking health education. For example this is just a example of my classmate reply. The YouTube genres that I am most drawn to from this list are the how to guides and tutorials. This particular genre I find myself watching the cooking videos. I love watching the tutorials on new recipes because I like to know what is going into the food that I am eating. Watching these types of videos helps me decide if that meal is something that I want to make for me and my family. These genres are engaging because the purpose of the video is to demonstrate how to make a particular item and will show the end result. By watching these videos, I have found myself branching out and trying new recipes that I probably wouldn't have thought about before. I believe that these types of videos exhibit many public speaking techniques including some of the following: speaking with confidence, showing organization, being visually appealing, and knowing your audience. If I were to watch a video of someone preparing some food and they seemed unsure of the methods, they were using I would feel less inclined to continue with the video. While cooking, it is especially important to show organization and order, because in some cases, without preparing the food in a certain order it can ruin the outcome. And last but not lease, being visually appealing and knowing your audience is very important because not many people I know are going to want to cook a meal if it is unappealing visually.
