I assume there is an interaction between genetic predispositions and environment, according to the text people seek out environments that suit them. For example, introverts will tent to seek out quiet activities such as reading at home, while extroverted people may seek out more stimulating environments like parties. Repeating these experiences over a lifetime increases exposure to each environment which deepens a predisposed extraversion personality trait. Parents, siblings, or family members may subconsciously favor a genetically athletic child over a less genetically athletic child. For example, complimenting and encouraging the genetically athletic child's abilities increasing their openness to experience new physical activities/sports. Overtime the athletic child's openness to experiences may increase due to the additional encouragement from parents, siblings, or family members.
