Victoria Gray is the first person in the US to have a genetic condition treated with CRISPR-Cas9, a genetic engineering tool. CRISPR-Cas9 is a system that can cut out a mutated gene and replace it with the normal human gene using human DNA as the template. After having this CRISPR-Cas9 treatment, would it be more accurate to describe Victoria as a Genetically Modified Organism, a Transgenic Organism or could both terms be used? Explain your reasoning.
