Question

Your company of around 3,000 employees has a turnover issue among employees who have been at your company for between one and three years. People seem satisfied in that first year, and if they can make it to year four, they often stay for the long haul. But you're losing too many good people in years two and three. This turnover cost is high, so you design some employee experience surveys to gather data as people move through those tenure levels. In the experience data, you notice that your at-risk group seems to be incredibly frustrated with internal information sharing - they're not getting the information they need when they need it. So, you design some interventions to fix this problem, including mandating more frequent meetings internally to share what people are working on and rolling out some intranet technology to help people share files better. But the problem gets worse! Even though you ended up improving your scores on information sharing, the turnover rate remains unchanged or goes up.
