We also see examples of leaders acting ethically - think about Fisk Johnson, CEO of SC Johnson. An ethical framework or philosophy does not simply pop into your head. It develops over time through such things are your experience, background, what you have been taught and the actions of those after whom you model personal actions. Ethical standards grow out of culture, religious training, academic learning, or even literature. Probably, for most of us, our ethical framework incorporates a combination of those factors.
