Our first preclinical is on how to perform a complete physical examination of a patient from head to toe. I'm both excited and nervous about our first preclinical trial. I'm excited because I'll learn how to perform a physical examination on a patient, but I'm nervous because I don't know if I'm doing it correctly. I volunteer to be a patient, and one of my classmates performs the physical examination. I simply observe and listen to it in order to apply it. I'm the one who conducts the physical examination.

As a certified nursing assistant, I work in a rehabilitation center. One of the CNA's responsibilities before a patient is admitted to the facility is to perform a physical assessment with the assistance of an RN or LVN.
