Question

Ms. Crosby's frustration appears to be calm and nonthreatening. In order to best help her, we can provide her with support and reassurance by identifying the source of her frustrations andunderstanding her reactions. Even if she becomes non-compliant due to her pain and frustrations,the patient should never be blamed. Instead, Ms. Crosby should feel the supportive presencefrom her healthcare team and feel that we are standing beside her. Additionally, Ms. Crosbyneeds to feel that we are providing her with the best care possible. This includes taking everyintervention necessary to find a cause and a solution to her chronic headaches, as well as takingher pregnancy and mental health into consideration. To provide Ms. Crosby with additionalsupport and reassurance, we can recommend and refer her to support groups.
