A thick glass container (n = 1.526) with inner and outer vertical walls has its interior filled with water (n = 1.337) and has a quarter lying on the bottom. A ray of light with wavelength 480 nm has reflected from the quarter and strikes the interface between the water and the inner wall of the glass at an angle of incidence of 22.0°.

(a) What is the frequency of the light while in the water?

(b) What is the light ray's transmitted angle when it finally leaves the glass, passing into the air?
