Almost all products travel a similar path through the product life cycle, although some do it very rapidly in just a few months, while others may take years or decades.

  1. Summarize the product life cycle concept, and discuss/define each of the four stages including the relevant aspects of each stage.
  2. Select a product you are familiar with and apply the 4 stages of the product life cycle to the product. Basically discuss where the product is now in the life cycle, and discuss what happened in the prior stages, and what you think will happen in the future stages if the product has not completed the product life cycle.
